Kære Lasse,Karikaturen er god--den er, som alle gode karikaturer, morsom, begavet, med et udgangspunkt i virkeligheden ... og ikke helt i overensstemmelse med virkeligheden.Som allerede antydet i min post, er jeg selv langt fra ukritisk overfor Reagan. Men i.f.t. påstandene i tegningen, så hører det med til historien, at Reagan dels prøvede at gennemføre større besparelser på forbundsudgifterne (men ikke kom igennem kongressen med dem), og dels formåede at reducere forbundsstatens relative andel af den amerikanske samfundsøkonomi--samt iøvrigt, som den eneste i nyere tid, fik sat en bremse for trenden i udviklingen i mængden af lovgivning.Se f.eks. Tja, han havde nogle få positive sider. Er der nogen, der kan bekræfte følgende:Et af Reagans valgløfter var at genindføre guldstandarden, så han nedsatte en kommission bestående af økonomer til dette. Alle i kommisionen var dog på forhånd modstander af guldstandarden, så de konkluderede, at det alligevel ikke var tilrådeligt…?
